Irish actor Barry Keoghan made it to Variety's top 10 actors to watch for 2017
BARRY KEOGHAN FIRST came to the attention of the Irish public after he shot a cat in Love/Hate.
Since then it has just been up and up for Barry who recently had a significant role in Christopher Nolan’s blockbuster Dunkirk.
Two months ago, he brought The Hollywood Reporter to Summerhill to interview him and thought it was very important for them to note that he was ‘born and raised in Dublin 1.’
The next big title that Barry will be seen in is ‘The Killing of a Sacred Deer’ alongside Colin Farrell and Nicole Kidman.
For this reason, American entertainment magazine Variety are keeping an eye on him in their ‘10 actors to watch for 2017‘.
Six years ago he was in Fair City and today he’s in Hollywood, so there’s no doubt that they’re right about keeping an eye on him.
The Killing of a Sacred Deer will be released this November. Currently he’s working on two more films which will be released after that including Black 47, which is a drama set during the Irish famine.
The second title is American Animals, where he will star alongside American Horror Story actor Evan Peters.
